Once a year EURASF awards a prize for the best European Science Film. Every partner-festival can submit a nomination to the adcademy. The members of the Inner Board decide, whether a film will be nominated for the shortlist. All members of the academy  are eligible to vote for potential Best Science Film nominees.

The winner of the Best Science Film 2015 was awarded in Olomouc.
The best Science Film 2017/18 was awarded 2018 at the InScience Film Festival.
The best Science Film 2019/20 was awarded online due to the COVID19 pandemic.
